Why is gradual transitioning to a new diet so important?
Whether your cat is already eating raw or not, it is of vital importance to always take the time to properly transition to any new diet. We have a transitioning guide for kitties currently on kibble. It is equally important to transition gradually to a new raw diet, even if your kitty is already eating another raw diet.
A good way to start would be to unfreeze one portion of Bobcat Raw, and start with a pea sized amount, mixed in thoroughly with your current raw food diet. This is a starting point, where you should be observing your cat’s stool, making sure to transition them comfortably.
A new raw diet introduced too quickly may result in vomiting or diarrhea, so please take your time to transition your kitty gradually to a new raw diet.
When do you ship?
Due to the pandemic and the related supply delays, it can take us about 21 business days and sometimes longer to prepare your order and make it ready for shipping/delivery.
We are a small raw cat food manufacturer, and we plan to keep it this way! We do not build up and hold a large inventory, and instead try to make sure that the food you receive is fresh. We do not ship later in the week, as this increases the risk of delays.
Will my item arrive frozen?
We cannot guarantee your items will arrive frozen (especially for smaller orders). By purchasing our raw food products, you are releasing Bobcat Raw Food of any guarantee that the product will be fully frozen upon delivery. We pack everything into styrofoam boxes and use a sufficient amount of frozen gel packs. If the food arrives partially thawed or cold to touch, you can place the food back into the freezer and refreeze it.
What is your source of meat?
Our products contain meats and organs that are human-grade. Our chicken meat is US-sourced USDA Grade A meat, sourced locally in Texas. Our rabbit meat is sourced from a small local rabbit farmer. Our formulas are both single-protein formulas, and have a limited list of ingredients. We do not use unnecessary ingredients, such as grains and other carbohydrates.
How long can the food stay in the fridge?
The food can stay in the fridge for 3-5 days, depending on the fridge settings. It can stay up to 6 months in the freezer.
Besides meat and organs, is there anything else you add to your product?
In our chicken formula, we add vitamins and minerals essential to cats’ overall health, and a little water. Nothing else! No fruits, no vegetables, no grains and no other unnecessary fillers. Our rabbit formula is prey-model raw formula, and contains no added vitamins/minerals. Our products are a TRUE raw protein-rich diet your kitty was designed to eat. Please refer to the product pages for a detailed ingredient list.
